Hero MotoCorp has introduced its inaugural maxi-scooter, the Xoom 160, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, the Xoom 160 marks Hero's entry into the premium scooter segment.
The Xoom 160 is powered by a newly developed 156cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, delivering 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. This engine is paired with a CVT transmission and features Hero's i3S (idle start-stop) technology for enhanced fuel efficiency.
Design-wise, the Xoom 160 boasts a tall and muscular stance, characteristic of maxi-scooters. It features a split floorboard, a tall front windscreen, and apron-mounted dual-chamber LED headlamps. The scooter rides on 14-inch wheels fitted with block-pattern tyres, providing superior grip and stability.
The Xoom 160 comes equipped with a range of modern features, including keyless ignition, a fully digital instrument console with turn-by-turn navigation, remote seat opening, and split-LED headlights. Safety is addressed with a 240mm front disc brake accompanied by ABS.
Weighing in at 141 kg, the Xoom 160 offers a seat height of 787mm and a fuel tank capacity of 7 liters. Bookings are set to commence in February, with deliveries expected to begin in March.
With its competitive pricing and feature-rich package, the Hero Xoom 160 is poised to rival models like the Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160 in the Indian market.
