Yamaha has introduced the FZ-S Fi Hybrid at the Auto Expo 2025, marking India's first motorcycle equipped with hybrid technology. This model features an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) that offers a modest electric boost, facilitating silent starts and incorporating start/stop functionality.
The FZ-S Hybrid retains its 149cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine, which in the standard version delivers 12.4 horsepower and 13.3 Nm of torque. The hybrid system is expected to enhance these figures slightly, improving overall performance.
A notable addition is the color TFT display, providing riders with call and notification alerts, music playback controls, and updated switchgear for managing these features. The LED indicators have been repositioned to the tank extensions, adding to the bike's refreshed aesthetics.
While the FZ-S Hybrid maintains the core design and mechanics of its predecessor, the integration of hybrid technology and advanced features signifies Yamaha's commitment to innovation in the commuter motorcycle segment.
